A 27 Year Old Organisation Dedicated To The Development Of Musicians.
We have three Bands in our organisation a Beginner, Youth and Community Band.
Beginner Band caters for young musicians up to to Grade 2,
Youth Band is for young musicians who are Grade 3 and above.
Community Band is made up of like-minded adults who want to play together and enjoy making music.
WHAT WE DO
Both the Youth and Community Band compete in national competitions such as the National Concert Band Festival and Music for Youth. At the National Concert Band Festival the bands have achieved both Gold and Platinum Awards which is an achievement we are all very proud of!
More locally, the bands perform at a diverse range of events including village fetes, festivals and concerts playing music from all genres from films/musicals, disco, pop tunes and more! If you're organising an event and think we could provide some music don't hesitate to get in touch, we would love to hear from you!
The Beginner Band provides a great opportunity for young musicians who want that first taste of playing in an ensemble. This group is targeted towards young players who have recently started playing their instrument and up to Grade 2. We believe this group provides a great experience for their musical capabilities and confidence to develop.
The Youth Band attracts a large array of musicians all the way from Grade 3 to Grade 8 but it provides a friendly environment to make music and have fun at the same time! A number of players in the Youth Band also play together in our Clarinet Choir and have gained a distinction at the Newcastle-under-Lyme Music Festival. The Youth Band competes in competitions, plays at events and concerts throughout the year and at a plethora of venues both locally and more prestigious national venues.
The Community Band brings together a group of like-minded adults who enjoy making music together in a relaxed fashion whilst taking the music they play to local events in the area.
All 3 bands rehearse at Sandbach High School in G8way2.
The Beginner Band meet during term time on a Saturday morning between 9:30-10:15 which is followed by the Youth Band between 10:30-12:00.
