Our Beginner and Junior Bands attract children from various schools in the area - Brereton, Elworth Hall, Audlem and as far as from over the Staffordshire border. They all share an enthusiasm to play as a group and develop their musical ability. The groups are aimed at new players up to Grade 2.

 

Our Beginner Group is conducted by Niamh Darbyshire whilst the Junior Group is conducted by Halla Cottam. Both are members of the Community Band and previously members of our Youth Band. We are also very lucky to have a group of players and parents who are available to come along and help when needed. Our Musical Director is also available and has recently been helping along the Cornet section - not bad for a Tuba player!

New players are very welcome to come along and listen to a rehearsal or better still bring along their instrument to join in. The rehearsals are in the Bandroom at Sandbach High School from 9:00 - 10:15 on a Saturday morning during term time.
